Tanzania local flights operate small aircraft with capacities that vary from 5 seats to 19 seats, occasionally we send more that one aircraft depending on the load of the flight. What about large passengers? Because of the nature of aircraft flights limit baggage allowance to 15kgs per passengers, we also recommend soft bags, large suitcase take up a lot of space i the cargo bay and your bag may be left behind. If you have large bulky or long articles such as surf boards, golf bags, fishing rods, diving equipment, bicycles etc we may not be able to accommodate these items on certain flights or aircraft, we would not like to tell you this at the check-in counter, however if we know earlier or at the time of booking we can advise you. 		Getting To and From Tanzania By Air If you're planning to visit Northern Tanzania, the best airport to arrive at is Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA). KLM has daily flights from Amsterdam. Ethiopian and Kenya Airways also fly into KIA. If you're planning to visit Zanzibar, southern and western Tanzania, you'll want to fly to the capital Dar es Salaam. European carriers that fly into Dar es Salaam include British Airways, KLM and Swissair (which codeshares with Delta). Regional flights to Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and parts of northern Tanzania regularly fly from Nairobi (Kenya Airways, Air Kenya) and Addis Ababa (Ethiopian Airlines). Air Tanzania has several flights per week from Dar es Salaam to Entebbe (Uganda), the Comoros Islands and Johannesburg.

The main gateway airports to East Africa and Zanzibar are: Dar es Salaam International Airport (DAR), a short flight to Zanzibar & Southern Tanzania Safari Circuit.
